Comments & RSS

I welcome and actively encourage readers to leave comments with the following caveats:

Because of the massive amount of spam my blogs get, all comments are currently manually moderated until a reader earns my trust.

If you have anything genuinely worthwhile to say that makes a contribution, or maybe points out an error or something I have missed (highly likely), then there’s no reason why your comment will not be approved, although the speed of this depends on when I am online. However, “thank you” comments will be canned. It would be flattering, but judging by the huge number of people who do this (and they always post a backlink), this is obviously a blatant attempt at getting a backlink for themselves at my expense.

I encourage the use of this blog’s RSS feeds for personal use in a news reader or as part of a non-commercial blog with the following caveats.

I require full and correct attribution whenever my content is posted on a web site. You should also never remove links back to the originating content and it must be as clear as possible where the content is from.

Do not change the content in any way. The minute you change it, you are no longer in the syndication realm, you are in the copyright violation realm.

Don’t add advertising to the pages with the syndicated feeds. If you add advertising, you are profiting off my work without permission.

Lastly, I reserve the right to require that you cease distributing my content for any reason. If I ask you to remove the content, you should do so immediately and without complaint.

Please use your common sense. Basically, I don’t want my site being scraped, but I’m willing to let you share it, if you’re willing to credit me properly with a backlink.

If you have any doubts, questions, or wish to use any of the content commercially, please contact me with details.
